Temple Sisterhood

An affiliate of Women of Reform Judaism, the Sisterhood sponsors and manages programs to benefit the Temple and the community, providing our female members with endless opportunities for socialization, study and personal growth.

Each autumn, the Sisterhood’s largest fundraiser, Deli Day, gives hundreds of Wichitans a traditional Jewish dining experience and a delectable offering of carry-out treats. Proceeds support the Temple’s general operating fund and provide scholarships for children to attend Jewish camps. Sisterhood membership is open to women who are members of either Wichita’s Jewish congregations.

Congregation Emanu-El Sisterhood believes it is vital for every Jewish child to have the opportunity to attend a Jewish summer camp. The Sisterhood takes pride in providing generous tuition assistance to encourage our member families to send their children to Jewish camps.
